ASSOCIATES PROGRAM

The newly revised Associates Program has been specifically tailored to three sectors of discerning men.

High School Associates (ages 15 – 18)

Description: This program runs once a month regionally by a couple of priests to encourage and support, catechize and teach high school students who are open to the vocation to the priesthood.

Duration: The program usually runs from September to June

Place/Time: The meeting usually takes place at the rectory of a designated parish in the early evening with a light dinner and discussion session afterwards.

Program: Topics that are covered are such as “Personal Relationship with Jesus”, “Eucharist”, “Chastity”, “Fear of being Called”, “Prayer”, “Confession” and more. It encompasses gatherings which will include retreats, pilgrimages and social outings.

University/College Associates (ages 19 – 28)

Description: Weekly gatherings to specifically assist the candidate to discern their vocation to the priesthood.

Duration: Once a week for 12 weeks

Place/Time Serra House, Formation House for Philosophy Seminarians of Toronto.

Program: The candidate usually begins by attending a Come and See weekend or a retreat. The Associates join our Seminarians for Mass and dinner prior to their meeting. Topics that are covered are such as “Personal Relationship with Jesus”, “Eucharist”, “Chastity & Celibacy”, “Church”, “Prayer”, “Confession” and more. It encompasses gatherings that include retreats, pilgrimages and social outings.

Older Associates (ages 29 or older)

This program is intended to mimic that of University/College aged Associates, but is geared toward a more mature candidate having fulfilled more of life's journey. Please see University/College Associates.
