Prayer is the FOUNDATION of fostering vocations.
St. Thérèse Vocation Society is a Society of prayer that offers prayers and sacrifices for fostering vocations to the priesthood and religious life in the Archdiocese of Toronto. This is our response to the appeal of Christ “to pray to the Lord of the harvest that he may send labourers into his harvest.”
“There is an urgent need, especially nowadays, for a more widespread and deeply felt conviction that all the members of the Church, without exception, have the grace and responsibility to pray for vocations.” (Shepherds after my own heart #38)
Any individual is invited to join the society. At the same time, in a very special way families are highly encouraged to join the society since the Christian family, which is truly a 'domestic church', has always offered and continues to offer favourably environments for the birth of vocations. Members will be remembered every first Friday of each month in a mass offered by the Toronto Vocations Director.
